वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने संसद में आगामी वित्तीय वर्ष के लिए पूर्ण बजट पेश किया। इस दौरान उन्होंने बड़ी घोषणा करते हुए ब्रेस्ट कैंसर और फेफड़ों के कैंसर प्रयोग होने वाली दवाओं के लिए कस्टम ड्यूटी में छूट की घोषणा की है। कैंसर की तीन प्रमुख दवाओं के लिए सीमा शुल्क में पूरी छूट की घोषणा की गई है। जानकारों का कहना है कि इससे मरीजों को बहुत मदद मिलेगी। जिन दवाओं को छूट मिली है उनमें ट्रैस्टुजुमैब डेरक्सटेकन,ओसिमर्टिनिब और डर्वालुमैब शामिल हैं जिनका प्रयोग कुछ प्रकार के कैंसर में लक्षित कैंसर थेरेपी के लिए किया जाता है। विशेषज्ञों के मुताबिक छूट के बाद इलाज की लागत में 20% तक की कमी आ सकती है।
